Gonna make you sweat

As I'm sure you know, us Brits are obsessed with the weather. Well, as usual, it's pretty much all we can talk about right now. It's hot. Said it. Done!

We've made it to Wednesday, and it's a very special Wednesday, because it's Andy's birthday! To celebrate I'm cooking up a little Greek feast for some of his very good friends. So, this is just a quick 'hello' post while my lamb's marinating!

On Monday night we had Iowa Girl's amazing Mango, avocado and chicken salad. The flavours in this baby just melt together so well. A perfect summer supper.

Tuesday's breakfast wasn't such a vision of loveliness, but it did taste good! I threw some frozen berries in with my porridge as it cooked, but it made it way too watery... Not one to waste food, I added Greek yoghurt and sunflower seed butter and went with it. It tasted really good and, as a bonus, you could drink it! Convinced?!

Rachael asked me to bring my picnic blanket for lunch at work and I obliged. It felt like a mini-break from the office! We did our usual walk then I spent the afternoon learning the Cha Cha Cha for a work event, so my step count was off the hizzle! Some days at work you really can't moan about.

After work it was straight out to Real Military Fitness for the first time in a while. It felt like working out in an oven, but it made me realise how much I've missed it. I've felt a little stressed and out of sorts the past few weeks and I realised missing exercise has a lot to do with it. I need my endorphin fix! I always walk away feeling amazing... I must remember that feeling next time I want to bail!

Dinner was a very fitting reward, enjoyed out in the evening breeze. Luann's kale salad with baked salmon and sweet potato.

We watched Luther, ate some very juicy dried figs and called it a night.

Today's breakfast is a lot prettier! I defrosted the froze strawbs and blubes first and added porridge, Greek yoghurt and coconut flakes. I enjoyed it in the garden with the birds and bees.

I needed to get my head down and concentrate today, so I worked from home. I prepared my lunch the night before to save time, though. A lush, giant Albacore tuna salad with anchovies.

I went for a walk to the shops after to stock up for tonight then ploughed on with work through the hot afternoon. And now it's time to get organised - I'm away with work tomorrow and have an early start. It's all go! See you at the weekend. There's a food festival on locally and we're out for Champagne and tapas. Good times!
